Big News For Tik Tok Users

Security errors have been reported in Tik Tok

Video sharing app Tik Tok has revealed security flaws, which allows hackers to steal user data, their sensitive information and their videos. The app was developed by a Chinese company, but despite the ban, there are more than one billion users of this app worldwide.

Checkpoint Research's cyber security experts said the app's security had two flaws. Which allows hackers to access the users' private email address and its date of birth. Additionally, hackers can upload their own custom video after using the account, and delete the user's first uploaded videos, as well as make their status private. The Chinese App Tik Tok administration has also been made aware of these flaws by Check Point. However, Tik Tok has now asked its users to update the app to avoid security flaws, to ensure the security of their data. It's important to note that last year, Tik Tok gained its position while living among other social media apps. In the meantime the app was also charged with spying on people and due to other scandals, the app was circulating in the news.
However, this time a Tik Tok error has been identified in the backend where ordinary users have no access but hackers can easily reach it. Checkpoint Security Research also broke the Tik Tok SMS system, initially used to sign in to the app. He said that any hacker can make the system usable by altering the system while it can send dangerous links via SMS to the user. If these users click on this link, hackers will have easy access to the accounts. Hackers can upload custom videos, delete or publicly publish their status after access, according to the research firm. In addition, a separate error has been reported within the Tik Tok advertising website that will allow access to attacks called XSS. Experts believe that the social media app is the most important target by hackers because it provides users with private information.

They say that hackers spend their time and money to infiltrate these well-known apps, and in the meantime many consumers think they are safe. In this regard, the head of Tik Tok security team, Dr. Luke DeShotels, said his company was committed to protecting users' data.He also said that like other organizations, we encourage responsible security research so that it can detect security flaws.
